Our frozen dough balls are proofed for 48 hours, allowing them to develop a slightly nutty, roasted flavour with just the perfect amount of chewiness and an incredibly airy crust before being frozen.
Versatile and easy to use, our original dough balls produce perfect pizzas in all types of pizza ovens, including kitchen ovens, Ooni, Gozney, wood-fired, and more. Each 250g dough ball can be pressed and stretched out to at least 30cm/12″ diameter depending on how big you like your crust. All of this means that when you buy our frozen Neapolitan dough balls it makes it easy to create your own delicious pizzas at home.

Our Neapolitan dough balls are shipped frozen and may arrive either partially or fully defrosted, which is ok. They can be refrozen upon receipt or defrosted and kept chilled at <5°C for up to 3 days, although if you are chilling for this period we recommend softly reballing them occasionally to stop them over proofing, please also ensure your fridge is below 5ºc. Your order will be packed in insulated bags with ice gel packs, ensuring they will arrive in perfect condition.

Bought these on a recommendation - came quickly enough, well shipped and explanation for how to store etc - nice dough but found it just too springy, couldn’t get it to roll out / stretch enough so ended up with very doughy undercooked bases - sad time s

Since buying a Gozney Dome last year, and going through loads of recipes trying to make my own dough, with very mixed results, I decided to try some frozen dough balls. I have tried a few brands, including those that you can buy through Gozney, and a couple of others. Since finding Great Balls of Flour, i have been very impressed. Firstly with the price, they are very competitive, and secondly with the quality. They are slightly fiddly tog et them out of the bags once defrosted, but once you have done it a few times you get the hang of it. If you havn’t tried them yet, give them a go your resulting pizza will be great.
